First the whining: It is July 13th and I have only raced 3 Wednesdays? The summer is half over now. And I had to wear 3 layers because it was so cool and windy. Add to that, last Wednesday we had too many people show up to race. How many this week? One – me. Solo. Found out the winches on Moya were re-mounted wrong. Caught most shifts backwards.
The good – no one else showed up so I could sail by myself. The weather was perfect, cool and windy. Wind shifts like crazy so even though I messed up the starts (because of the winches – now I know) I still worried the competition with big gains.
