After the snow last week we are getting rain and very warm weather to melt the snow -> floods. It is a normal part of the NW cycle. Today I pretended to be a photographer and went to take pictures of waterfalls. I learned that when the rivers are flooding the falls kick up a lot of spray. It coats your camera lens with mist immediately and all your pictures come out blurry. Waterfalls are more impressive with sound and motion. I have a waterproof vidCam, thus the videos. One waterfall required a 2.1 mile hike. The last one ended up being a 3.9 mile snowshoe – I have not used my snowshoes in a LONG time. I will be sore tomorrow in some interesting places.
[Post-post review – stick with smaller WVGA setting for better posted videos]

Much prettier than some of our local wet scenery! Our rivers are brown now.
Beautiful images.
