Our 1st day over 75 degrees since September. And no wind to celebrate it. After bobbing up and down in the skiboat exhaust with MM on GJ, the wind started out of the SW and we set a short course. We managed one start and one race before the wind changed to the NW and at 10+ just before 8pm.
Moved the start to Carillon and had a couple of very nice races. Close close starts and mark roundings. We are quite popular because to get to the start we had to go within feet of the concrete breakwater. We had a crowd of about 50 watching the races close-up and a few people were recording. Most had cameras. DK got compliments afterwards on the quality of the entertainment.
Unfrotunately, I did not put up the camera because there was no wind at the start and I didn’t think we would have anything to see. Then there was a great sunset afterwards of course. [Wind died at sunset and did not go W or E]
Fun despite the local conditions.
According to my count that is 19 races this year so far. The season has reached it’s halfway point. My goal this year will be 30.
