As implied in the last post – I went straight from summer to winter this year because of travel schedule. I did get out of NY JFK last night even though they were still clearing snow off the taxiways. Arrived home very late. Though the trip planning looks good on paper – a full day of work in NY followed by rush hour traffic to JFK and then 7 hours on a plane is tiring.
Today was gorgeous here, even had a chance to do yard work – my main job at home these days. Cold crisp morning, perfect for detaching leaves from trees. Used the fancycam for the 1st time in a while. Compliments gladly accepted but I know I am not using it well yet. Annual sailing club meeting tonight, I catered and presented. All went very well but I would not mind sleeping in for 2 days now.
(just read my own post: I am not a genealogist or biologist – but doesn’t Pic 2 [BambooDew] look like a DNA sequence?)

Congrats on getting back!
I am surprised that you have so many leaves-yet-to-fall. No justification for the surprise, but I am anyway. This year is the earliest we’ve gotten our leaves all raked, splattered, tossed in the air, fort-ified, nested, and eventually put in bags (no bean pods).
Yes, on the DNA. If anyone had noticed that earlier think where we would be on genetic research!?!?!? I mean, if someone had noticed the Fibonacci sequence in shells and pine cones before coming up with the sequence… Ah, well, such is the nature of things (as it were).
Photography question: What other shapes can you make the dewdrops besides hexagons? It’s the filter and/or lens that does it.
Wonderful images.
Um, you need a sabbatical! 🙂
