Weather-related: I am in NYC for work shortly after hurricane Sandy. Not many signs of trouble in Queens except for the on-going lines/problems/arguments at gas stations. Local govt and transportation is wonderfully responsive and informative.
But then today? My afternoon meeting was cut short because of a sudden blizzard. 4″ snow already and 30+ mph winds. Not predicted, I did not expect and was not prepared. C’mon, it was 93 in DG 3 weeks ago. Where did Fall go? And why are they playing Christmas music at Targette? I know they say that seasons spin faster as you get older but I think I might be experiencing a new and different dimension of jet lag.
