Adventures Sailing Sailing Wed #8

Sailing Wed #8

The evening started with a teenage bald eagle watching us get the boat ready and ended with one of those sunsets where the sun hits the bottom of the clouds.  I tried a different angle with the egoCam, channelling my dormant Duran Duran. It worked until I went to put the spinnaker up and then I was worried I would break something.

The video is too long and only accelerated 50% but there are two thing not totally uninteresting about it, the new camera angle and an example of the egoCam’s ability, if you click on Tube ‘watch on YouTube‘ and then click on the ‘360p’ and change to ‘720p HD’ and then the 4 arrows to go full screen you start to get an idea of what the raw video from this tiny cam looks like. Remarkable.

  1. Seems like you are always sailing straight up or down wind (ok, not really straight upwind, but you know what i mean).

And also, stop having nice weather over there. It’s HOT here!

  2. Thanks for watching! And you got it again! Wednesday night’s are windward-leeward courses. Most racing in the world is like that. Our Friday night races are an anachronism, as are the distance races we do.
