Today I was a chaperone for a HS German class field trip to Leavenworth – a FauxVarian village in the Cascades. I drove the truck, full of kids, there and back.
The first adventure was spending 4 hours with 4 talkative teenagers in an enclosed space. Very informative. I’m not sure if my posse was representative but based on the jabber I listened to, I have a lot of hope for the future and this generation. They have got it together.
The second adventure was a walking tour. Bavarian towns are designed to look good in the snow and this one does. 3 miles or so trudging through ice and snow. Very good day.

It’s great to hear that you have hope in the next generation. . . oh, to be a fly on that wall. . . 🙂
