Ice

Since this blog is mostly about away-from-home adventures I have not posted lately because we stayed home for the holidays and did family things. Good for us.

The last few days I was back in Nebraska again – home of the Cornhuskers (and the memory cracks – a post I never finished [or did I?])   If you can get reservations, I would recommend the BM B&B as a 5-star accommodation (don’t get it, don’t worry, it is a inside thing)

One day we went out to the Buffalo Wallow to document conditions. At the end of the day I realized I had not taken any fun photos so I took a few of the ice in a ditch. It was a nice day, walked about 80 minutes through cornrows, frozen wetlands and deer beddings. Almost stepped on a big quail – scared the BM out of both of us.  As usual DB beat the wallow out of us with his photos.
