3 months since a serious hike. A variety of medical conditions hit me this winter and kept me from doing anything.
My wife told me 2 things: “Have Fun” and “Don’t Overdo it”. I am 1 for 2.
Hiked up West Tiger 3 (1h17m). The plan was to come down K-3 and TMT but the bridges were out out because of the recent storm and the trail was closed. Instead I tried to find the Issaquah High trial (Highline?). I ended up on the “‘Unmaintained trail” down the NW side. It is brutal. I tried a detour on the the RR trail going south but gave up after less than a mile and backtracked. I ended up at the Talus Rocks anyway but I had to rest on the way down more than once (4 times). That is the first time I had to do that. It was my knees, mainly the outside (ACL?). The next 2 days it was the quads of course.
