Best summer weather-wise ever in Seattle, as least as far as I have experienced.
Have had the good fortune to be able to race sailboats more than usual (and my usual is a lot). Here is a pic from tonight. The flukiest winds I have experienced on LW in 15 years. I am racing the little boat in the background. If you do not know anything about sailing you can still probably guess why the boat in front is winning. The remarkable thing is that I actually passed them about 10 minutes earlier.
For the sailors – yes, I should have lowered the spin pole and then eased the sheet. I was going for power at this moment to ride his wake because my competition was just upwind. It did not work and I was last in class.
