Just noticed that I assumed double digit racing this year with the post title yet it is still Spring – usually called Juneuary here because it stays cold – and I am already up to 8. And that is just racing days, not number of races- tonight we did 5. It was over 80 in the backyard again and the NNW winds filled wonderfully. In fact we were overpowered most of the evening. Me and DT on GJ with Bullet (yay!) and ISC63. Set a long course from richpeople bay to the middle of the lake (south of the Moonie “church”) [sorry but these references make sense to me and are actually funny – if you want to know why, come visit and sail with me]. Overpowered, ancient main and we disagreed on jib trim so we did not do well upwind in comparison to new sails, industry insider and 3. That is OK but disappointingly we we did not do well downwind either. But a very fun and tiring night. I will be SORE tomorrow.
