Seems like summer. Sunny, warm (almost 70!) and a building NW breeze. Lucky me, a sailboat race! A one-off PHRF that included 3 other J/22s as well as some big fast boats and a 50 foot cat/condo.
This weekend was Opening Day of boating season – a celebration around here. Some of the events are even televised locally (regattas, boat parades, live bands on the beaches, parties, etc.). The good weather, the full big moon, the boating events and Cinco de Mayo promotions meant a lot was happening in our town.
Fun. But I guess I am getting old because I have some swag from 12 years ago when I won this same race. 3rd today. No pics but if someone else posts some then I will link…
