This a preview because I can’t wait any longer to post these flower pictures. Yellow Island is a very protected reserve in the San Juan Islands on the US/Canada border. It is only accessible by small boat and visitors are only allowed during certain times. You cannot eat or perform a bio duty on the island. The reserve is more for flora than fauna (though seals, sealions, eagles, mink, otter, etc abound). We visited a little too early for the full spring show but we had perfect weather and it was still spectacular.
