Hike with C today after a Super Burrito on 3rd Street. Probably best to eat Mexican after a hike, not before. 🙂

Saw two of these gecko-like creatures in a small nature reserve park near a wetland. I wonder why I see them here but not in Washington. They are very slow (not like their relatives from the south) so their defense mechanism seems to be to play possum.

Then we drove into the foothills NW of town and ended up on a logging road where we stumbled across a waterfall as the sun came out.

With time left over we went to the local museum where they have the original Spruce Goose. It is amazing how big this plane is – it would be interesting to see if the double-decker that AirBus is building is bigger than this monster.    A very pleasant afternoon.
