Race 2 of the series and I have been thinking about it all day. I got to the boats about 5:50pm and there are 3 others ready to go. Eventually we had 7 and instead of going 4+3 we went 3+2+2 with the Cat22.
Race summary
Me and ST on GJ. I drove the start and then DT took over. Port start but Iwas 18s early. Still won the class (only DS and a very long long line). DJ forced the issue up the shore (N wind) and won by going in middle where we wne tin early and 1/2 – put that in the memory bank). Used the new HL sails and pointed poorly. Most of the fleet was ahead of us at the windward mark and then we had a 2 minute screw-up with the set. Took a flyer by gybing early and going way east early. It did not hurt us until the end when the wind was strong at the bottom (not usual). Also marks to port at the end, committee boat was on the wrong side. Bad result but nice weather night.
Afterwards we ordered Acropolis Pizza (no anchovies, artichokes or pineapples) and decompressed in the Clubhouse for an hour. That was nice.
No noteworthy video and I did not take my camera. However, the point of this site is to present some graphics so here is the start and the sunset afterwards.
