Another boring sailing vlog. Skip this one too. The wind died and we gave up after 2 hours. It also rained much of the evening. No wind and rain. But it was a warm 60 degrees!
Gray Jay with SS and JE. NNW wind that was forecast and existed died when a small storm cell came through at 6. The macro weather never recovered. S course but E wind so a marginal spin start. Pole on wrong side so I dived instead but it never came back. Shift to the S late meant we needed to tack after everyone passed us. 2nd leg dove on the port pole for some wind and passed a few boats before the wind died at sunset. Opened a can of wind but it turned out to be rain instead – that is a first. Even needed the lights after we started the motor. Worst June ever (ha! read “Mount Gay“)
