Since I had to miss a great night of racing last night (66 degrees and a 20mph S wind), I stayed here and went hiking among the Redwoods today. Totally overdid it – I will not provide the dramatic details because it would reflect so poorly on my judgement – except to say it was 6 hours of hiking which means probably around 15 miles.
Some wildlife – a woodpecker, lots of lizards, a snake, 3 deer on the trail, but weirdly no squirrels and very few other birds. Majestic redwoods, lots of oak and some madrona.
Added later – no one will notice!
Well, there you go. As my hubby would say, “make good decisions.”. 🙂
