This is the 1st real paddle of the Coho. It is pretty quick. Very stable. Very pretty. But NOT comfortable. My kayak needs a real posterior receptacle. I am probably not going to go the concrete mold/birdbath route again (though A wants me to).
Sorry about the boring video – it is mainly for me – because of course it is all about moi.
Birdbath?

Still fun to watch!
It occurs to me… i was just browsing State Line Tack, and found that in the “winter gear” sale there are special saddle pad additions — to go on top of the saddle. These are to help keep the rider warm. While it is not a good solution for the foundation of your seat, surely in the winter months it might be nice. (Now is when you post the selection of heated and cushioned kayak seats, showing that kayakers are way ahead of horse riders.)
Yup, I went through three seats before finding one that doesn’t cause my legs to fall asleep or my knees to hurt (we still need some better thigh braces). 🙂 With almost 14″ of snow, however, I doubt I’ll be in my little yak for a while. 🙁
