Been working on the inside of the deck for a few days. Today was the day to commit with the leftover kevlar. Time was a big issue because the deck needs to be tied back down to the hull to make sure it mates before the epoxy sets. Thankfully, no one will see the shortcuts necessary to do that much detailed glassing in a short period of time – I now know what a foam brush smells like as it burns from a chemical reaction as it sits on a brick in the direct sun – rancid.

This boat will not only be pretty but strong with the heavy coarse weave kevlar reinforcement (instead of 6oz fiber) and the carbon fiber. The garage and driveway are a mess now though.

3+hours with gloves on but forgot to pre-cut the fiber strips – should have planned better but the blackberries seemed more important in the morning.
