100% chance of rain today. I was up north on an errand so I took my expensive rain gear for a short hike afterwards to see some waterfalls anyway. It rained all day at my house but it cleared up where I was, yay! Changed plan and decided to hike the Bat Caves and Oyster Rock. Missed the trailhead again! but had a nice hike of 5+ miles with 1,500′ elevation gain anyway (sorry for the big vid).
At the peak there was a parking lot with cars. Boo. But there were paragliders. Yay again. There are 2 sports I would like to try, kite boarding and paragliding. They both use the same equipment – one jumps off a cliff (like these guys) and the other skims the water on a board.
I did not take any stills. A photo could never catch the serenity of this guy.
Is there a prettier place than this?
Today was a unexpectedly good day.
