Decided I would not let myself do the long course in Saturday’s race unless I could go10 miles today. Forgot to bring water and I was mildly hypothermic at the end but I did paddle 10.4 miles in a leisurely, out-of-shape 2h4m. So my goal for Saturday is 3 hours – very doable.
No highlights – though I did have to slow down to let a seaplane land in front of me (but the egoCam did not do it justice).
Notes to self: Bring both water and HEED, reverse the paddle mark tape on the right side, wear shell because it is getting cold, wear booties with thicker soles, thermal underwear, waterproof hat. If it is raining or windy, take (and wear!) wetsuit. Set egoCam to take pics instead of video.
